'EU Walk and Run' event in Zambia is a huge success
The 'EU Walk and Run' in Zambia, which was managed by Landell Mills in cooperation with our partner, Ku-Atenga Media, has proven to be extremely successful for the second year running. The 2018 event took place on Saturday 21st April in Lusaka and more than 750 people took part (twice as many as in 2017). Activities were aimed at all age groups, including a 10km run or 5km walk for adults and teenagers, and a 1km Bafana Walk for children.
On the day of the event, participants gathered at the start line, outside the EU Delegation's office, as early as 5am to collect their EU-branded t-shirts. Whilst the first 150 adults and 150 children to complete their races also received medals at the finish line.
The 'EU Walk and Run' was part of the communications and visibility contract that Landell Mills manages for the EU Delegation in Zambia and is one of several activities organised around Europe Day, which takes place on the 9th of May. The next event will be the second EU-Zambia CSO Fair on the 12th of May.
