Landell Mills wins new contract to promote investment and private sector development in Sub-Saharan Africa
Landell Mills is pleased to announce the award of a new contract and the start-up of the Africa RISE (Reform for Investment and Sustainable Economies) programme. Africa RISE is a demand-driven technical assistance facility funded by the European Union and valued at EUR 12.7 million.
Building on our longstanding experience in managing EU-funded facilities and promoting private sector development in fragile states, Landell Mills leads the facility which will be based in Brussels. Other consortium members include Adam Smith Europe (ASE), Imani Development and International Economics Consulting, all with active portfolios in the three target regions - East Africa, Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean.
Africa RISE supports inclusive and sustainable growth, job creation and decent work. The Facility will promote macro-economic policy and regulatory reform to create a business environment that encourages investment. It will work to enhance the capacity of the private sector and promote inclusive public-private dialogue that may lead to better economic and social conditions in the 25 target countries. Potential beneficiaries include EU Delegations, national governments, regional organisations, enterprises from the target sectors, marginalised groups such as women and youth, and civil society members.
The programme will run from December 2020 until December 2024. More information can be found on the Africa RISE website.
