Establishment of a Policy Advisory Unit for Agriculture Recovery and Development
The overall objective of the project was to enhance agricultural productions and trade through the use of policy instruments, with the aim at improving farmers’ income, creation of employment, rationalise the state role in regulating the sector, including the up- and down-stream industry, as well as supporting the country in its effort to introduce a market-oriented economy.

Mid term review of the Namibia Trade and Investment Development Programme
The stated overall objective of the TIDP was to facilitate the development and diversification of the productive sector in Namibia, with particular emphasis on fostering the potential of the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector. The programme assisted the Namibian economy to become more outward looking and diversified. It increaseed competitiveness in national, regional and world markets (manufactured products in particular) and improved the export orientation of the economy, particularly for non-traditional products.

Evaluation of the European Commission Funded Food Security Programme in Somalia
The main objective of the evaluation was to assess the achievements of fourteen projects in the food security sector as a whole, and to identify and analyse lessons learned. The evaluation shall guide the Commission and implementing partners within the Somali Aid Co-ordination Body (SACB) in developing future interventions in the sector and assist the Commission to focus its food security and rural development strategy

The objective of the Mission was to prepare the Proposal of Financing of a Program of Economic Development in the Yungas, region of Bolivia which encompasses some of the most vulnerable communities in Bolivia. The Mission examined the possibilities to achieve balanced and sustainable economic development in the region, analysing the perspectives of small and medium companies (PyMEs), the potential for improved tourism and service sectors, the prospective agroforestry and craft industries, infrastructure, and the activities of the other donors in the region.

Service contract for a monitoring system of the implementation of projects and programmes of external assistance financed by the European Commission
The main objective of the project was to gather results-oriented information on projects in the field and to report on progress to the European Commission.
It was aimed to maintain and where possible improve the quality of programmes and projects in external co-operation through timely, independent, well-targeted information on project implementation. This information was mainly provided through appropriate high-quality reports on technical and managerial aspects of project implementation. Reports were centralised in one database.
The task was to monitor the Community's external assistance to MEDA countries on the basis of an existing methodology. However, the ongoing deconcentration process, as well as the necessary harmonisation of the two systems required some adaptations to be introduced over the three years.
The beneficiaries were both the Commission and its partner Governments and organisations, and ultimately the intended beneficiaries of the projects whose implementation by all three was hoped would improve improve if the system was well used

Technical Assistance to the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO)
The objective of this project was to sustain economic growth by assisting the newly created SARIO to implement it’s trade and investment policies / strategies by improving the export performance of Slovakian exporters, increasing the flow of foreign direct investment and progressing EU accession by strengthening institutional, legislative and regulatory frameworks and functions.
The main activity areas were in institutional building (training and technical assistance) to both SARIO and Ministry staff; foreign direct investment promotion and sector development (including a review of the Slovak incentives package and a feasibility study on special economic zones); trade promotion activities including the management of a cost-sharing grant scheme and promotional programme for exporters.
FDI and trade liberalisation policy and strategy development support was also provided to both SARIO and the Ministry of Economy.
The technical team consisted of 18 full-time personnel, (8 professional and 10 support staff), and a substantial number of short-term experts.

Technical Assistance to the Georgian Export Promotion Agency (GEPA), Phases 2 and 3
This project builds on the previous TDI project which established GEPA and provided export development assistance to Georgian exporters, it’s professional association, the Georgian Exporters Association (GEA) and the Ministry of Economy through the development of a National Export Strategy.
This was achieved through the provision of high quality services (advisory and information services) directly to export orientated companies.
The project also continued the institutional development of the Georgian Export Promotion Agency (GEPA), GEPA’s staff, as well as the provision of trade facilitation and promotion knowledge, delivery of private sector customised training programmes, management of an export orientated cost sharing grant scheme and implementation of an extensive programme of export promotional activities, including trade fairs, export sales missions, inward buyer missions, development of promotional literature and the development of an information centre, etc.
At the concluding stage of this project, the Georgian government merged GEPA with the state funded Georgian National Investment Agency (GNIA).
